How We Work
Health and behavior content
Every medical article is written or reviewed by a licensed veterinarian and cites current peer-reviewed research where it exists. Behavior guidance follows reward-based methods endorsed by the major veterinary behavior organizations. We date every article and revisit health content at least once a year.
Product reviews
We buy products at retail with our own money. Each item is used by at least three dogs of different sizes for a minimum of four weeks before we write about it. We score on build quality, safety, value and, most importantly, whether the dogs chose to use it. Brands do not see reviews before publication and cannot pay to be included or to change a verdict.
How we make money
